ACT ONE
We will finish Act One this week. Does anyone want to share their Journal 53 entry? Here are some questions to ponder....
1. Have your first impressions of the members of the Secret Annex changed? Why?
2. In your opinion, is Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan's criticism of Anne justified? Is their
attitude unusual for adults? Explain.
3. What do you think would be the hardest part of life in the Secret Annex? Explain.
Maybe there are other parts of the play you would like to comment on or discuss!
Any ideas for the reading of Act Two?

10 Comments:
In Act II-maybe we could act it out instead of just reading it.
that will be funny if we do that. it will be interesting to see how people portrey their parts into acting. See u tommorow every1 :-( dont want vacation to be over!!!
what exactly will be on the test friday?
Will there be vocab - and lit terms?
Alex
To answer question number one my impression of Mrs. Frank has changed after reading scene 4. I thought that she was all about proper ways and that she did not like Anne at all, yet now I see that she really does love Anne. I think higher of her now. She actually has becom one of my favorite characters in the play instead of one of my most hated.

Alex,
The three vocabulary words discussed today in class will be on the test as well as a couple more I will mention on Wednesday. You should study literary terms for drama as well as your character book.
Jamie,
I am glad to see that you are changing your views as you read more of the play. Mrs. Frank is indeed a loving mother trying to reach out to her teenage daughter. It will be interesting to see how this relationship will grow as we read more of the play.
I'm sorry to see that only me and alex have posted lately, ms. Fox! :-( I'm going to try to get others to join in on this exciting oppurtunity.
Also I was wondering if we were going to act out any of the Anne Frank play? I really like this tory. I don't want to read ahead though because I think i might lose interest in it. You explain every detail out very well and make reading fun. Every summer I study a certain thing to keep my school technics up. You have inspired me to research and study the Holacaust this year, thanks! It will be fun, i now it! TTYL!

p.s. TTYL=Talk to you later
Jamie,
I am elated that you want to do more research on the Holocaust. Also, I am sure you will be happy to know that we are going to be acting out all of Act 2. I am excited--drama is for acting out--so off we go. Thanks for trying to help get more people involved--the more the better. See you tomorrow in class.
Ms. Fox
