ACT TWO--DRAMATIC PRESENTATIONS
This week is about learning lines and preparing to present Act 2! Drama is defined as follows: a work of literature intended to be performed for an audience--so let our adventure begin!
Does anyone have ideas on learning lines and on scene presentations?

do u stage direction people have to memorize their parts as well?
I don't get how the stage directions memorization works. what are you supposed to memorize.
alexis
I will answer all questions about stage directions tomorrow in class. I will have the sections highlighted for stage directions people.
I thought that it would be very overwhelming to have to memorize lines, know when and how to say them, and figure out what kinds of gestures to use when speaking, but it is actually quite fun so far. I, like many others, do not usually do well in front of people, but I think the key is to, in a sense, "be" your character. I'm not sure why but it makes the whole thing somewhat easier. Who knows,I may start to like drama more-- because I haven't liked it too much in the past!
Kelly,
You are correct--you have to be the character, and the lines and gestures will come much easier. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this whole process of acting out the scenes--I think everyone will find that this method is more fun--and some may just understand the play more deeply...imagine that!
heyy there ms. fox!!! i was wondering if we need to bring in all objects tomorrow, cause i have to get the fur coat and im not sure if i can have it yet, but im really positive cause the teacher who has it likes me!
I was wondering if you were expecting us to dress up for our acts. I want to but my group isnt to happy about the idea. I am Anne so I am going to either way. Mainly just to show you that i understand Anne a little better. I also want to dress up to show the audience want Anne was really like. I am researching her A LOT! Talk to Ya later! Have a good Day!
hey again ms. fox! i was also wondering about jamies question....can we dress up, cause my character is a real drama queen like me(im mrs. van daan) id like to know so i can get my outfit ready for monday......please tell me on the blog or in class....ttyl
hi ms fox!!!! i was wondering what type of soda i should bring in......i was going to bring in enough for the whole class but i only have cans. thats alot of cans to use! should i bring in only enough for my group, there's 10 people. shuld i bring in 5 cans and we can each have half?????
Hey Everybody!
I wantedto explain what I looked up. Anne worte an original diary. Then she heard a broadcast on the radio. (They use to listen to the radio in the downstairs office. Late at night!) She started editing it. Her first draft in known as "a" the second draft is known as "b". Then when Otto Frank found it after the war he edited it. This version is called "c". Finally the last draft is when the history scientists took draft "c" and "a" and mixed them. This was called (Yep you guessed it) draft "d".
To everyone--dressing as your characters would enhance your presentation...so consider dressing!
Brooke,
Do the five cans so everyone has half.
Jamie,
Thank you for sharing your interesting information. Hopefully, you are inspiring others to do more research. Your interest and research is wonderful.

Alex heres a suggestion-
My brotehr was stage direction person one time. Try wearing like a pair of slacks, a nice scirt, a tie and a jacket. You'll look cool and professional!
See ya in class,
Jamie
Jamie

Ms. Fox,
I am Mrs. Van Dann for the play and i was wondering if
1)a green shirt with a black poncho
2)blue jeans
3)a dimond neclace
would be good enough for my character.....thanx
shoogs,
That costume sounds fine!
whos shoogs??
Hey everyone!
I presented today in class and I found it easier than I usually have presenting projects. I'm not going to lie, but yes I was nervous. As a whole my group did fine, but in the end you can't really control how well everyone else learned and memorized everything. When it is your day to present just remember:
1. Relax
2. Glance at your lines inbetween when you speak
3. JUST HAVE FUN!
Kelsey!
Kelsey,
You have given excellent advice. The goal of all this drama madness is for you to learn yet have fun at the same time--so everyone should relax, glance, and enjoy being a different person for a short period of time. You do make a good point about having no control over how well everyone else learns lines and prepares for the presentation--however, working more often in a team setting will allow people to start understanding and learning how to motivate a group to be successful.
