What about Anne Frank...."in spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart."

What are your thoughts about the play so far? Comment on any character.

I need people to summarize, evaluate, and analyze the play, characters, or lines from the play. Let's carry over our discussions from class to the blog.

I think the play is good so far - i keep trying to picture this as an actual play and i think it would be quite hard to do on stage. I can understand Peter - with the cat - a complete stranger (anne) grabing his cat and then asking odd questions.

I think the play is interesting so far...but I don't think that I really like Peter that much. I don't know...maybe it's because of the situation they're in, but he seems very somber. Kind of a "lone wolf" as he said, I suppose..

I like this play. I'm glad we are reading it in drama form because you can almost feel what the real people were feeling. I don't really like Anne that much. I am glad she is keeping happy, yet I think at the age, thirteen, you should be a little more aware of your situation. You should be a little more mature. I think that if I was told I was going to hide I would get it. Meaning I can't leave- ever. She just seems very immature. Almost the kind of girl I wouldn't be great friends with in school. She wouldn't be an enemy just not a best friend.

There is much more to learn about Peter and Anne. I will be interested to see what all of you think of Peter and Anne at the end of this play. I would like to state that we all can benefit from the statement Mr. Frank makes in scene 2: "There are no walls, there are no bolts, no locks that anyone can put on your mind" (707).

Hey Ms. Fox,

For homework when we draw the picture i decided to do when Mr. Dussel talked about how this lady found a piece of paper that the frank family was in Zurich. So i drew a picture that has a trascan with Zurich on a piece of paper. is that ok?

Alexis,

Yes, complete both boxes--the one about an unclear passage and the box about your new understanding. All boxes should be filled in once you have read all of scenes 4 and 5.
